Our friend, Kathy in South Australia, has been sending me some of the most mind boggling photos of UFOs for well over a year now. There seems to be something of a "flap" on in the land "down under", known affectionately to the locals as Oz. Kathy lives in the state of South Australia, near the Southern Ocean. She has graciously shared some of these pictures with us so that the rest of the world can see and think about them.

Kathy has decided not to copyright these images, so they may be reproduced for fair use, so long as proper credit is given to the source. They may NOT be sold without express written permission. If you would like to contact Kathy, please send mail to:

Kathy c/o Jeff Challender

On 8 June, 2004, the planet Venus transited the disk of the Sun for the first time since 1882. For obvious reasons, this was exciting to astronomer and layman alike. Many people turned out to have a look for themselves, even though for most there wasn't much to see without a special filter to protect the eyes from the damaging rays of the Sun. Kathy D. went into her back garden, that day, to see what she could see. What she saw was NOT what she expected...

In the USA, the "back garden" is the back yard. This object defies explanation. Is it a craft? Unknown life form? This writer has never seen anything quite like the object in these pictures. Here is the short note Kathy included with the photos:

Hi again Jeff.

I am at it again. You may know that it is the Transit of Venus today At the precise time of the start of the transit 2.38 p.m., I went into the garden and took these shots. I actually saw them a split second before I took the pics.
Hope everyone is fine
Cheers.
Kathy.

Now, for your enjoyment, here are the photos themselves.

Photo 1 - This is NOT the Sun. A solar picture would not have developed properly, as Kathy doesn't have the correct photographic equipment for that sort of thing.

Photo 2 - As can be seen, the Sun itself is to the lower left.
