It has been known by us, that for some time now the ORIGINAL NASA webpages that were featured in our NASA & FOIA page have been missing.
We did not want to run an update as we were not sure what NASA would be doing with that section we covered, but after several months it now looks like NASA have removed ALL of the pages that we featured in that report.
If you remember there was a link from the Electronic Reading Room that gave us several links under the title of Documents Released under FOIA..........but now the Documents Released under FOIA link no longer exists. This now missing link was the link that gave us the log numbers from the 1997, 1998 & 1999 FOIA documents, please click on any year as we have saved the NASA page to file and you can still view the files and log numbers that NASA have now removed. (Sorry, these links no longer active as of 21 September 2004)
For example please view 1997 (Link dead 21 Sept. 2004)and see log number 97-030 Various "questions" on UFO's or how about log number 97-100 UFO Sightings by Apollo 8, 11, 12; Mercury Capsule; Mercury 7, 8, 9; Gemini Capsule; Gemini 4, 7, 8, 11, 12. This is one file that we have asked several times for, and this is the reason why we think NASA have pulled all the FOIA information so that people can not ask for anything unusual.
When we did ask for several of the more unusual files such as; 1998 (Link dead 21 Sept. 2004) log number 98-414 Info on UFOs and Mars monuments or log number 98-421 UFO and employment at NASA info and from 1999 (Link dead 21 Sept. 2004) log number 99-022 Fact Sheet on UFOs or log number 99-118 Information on sighting of possible alien craft - Fact Sheet on UFO or even log number 99-178 Information about unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and any claims made by people who say they were abducted by extraterrestrial, we got none of the above mentioned and all we did get was a link to the standard UFO Information webpage that NASA have onsite.
When we asked more questions, and made clear what files we wanted from the log number we were told that all of them related to the UFO Information webpage... (UFO Information page discontinued by NASA) but when we asked how over 30 Log numbers over 3 years could ALL relate to the same webpage, a webpage that has not been Released under FOIA but is NASA's own standard response to the UFO subject and yet these log numbers ARE Documents Released under FOIA, not to mention the fact that the information on each document i.e:
Information about unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and any claims made by people who say they were abducted by extraterrestrial.
Information regarding U.F.O, Flying Objects, Unidentified Flying Objects, Aliens, Space Aliens, Flying Saucers, reports of such items, photos of such items, and anything else pertaining to these subjects and the U.F.O. phenomenon. Fact Sheet on UFO

UFO related documents NASA has declassified within the last 5 years.

None of the above are covered in the UFO Information page that was offered to us, so how can this page be the page that is connected to the relevant log number............as of yet we have had no answer from NASA and not long after asking our questions and putting in our FOIA requests the webpage and links have been removed from the Electronic Reading Room.
