The Unexpected... In Downtown London!! May 2000 |
Andy Ellis, founder and director of Yorkshire UFO Info, sent me a video tape of his trip to London back in May 2000. I had watched this tape at the time it came in the post, but not again until recently. Upon seeing the video again, I noticed something in the sky over London which Andy caught quite by accident, and didn't even see himself at the time! It is a silvery, metallic disk which moves at tremendous speed over the city, quickly being lost in the smog and rising sun. It appears that this object had LANDED in downtown London, England, it broad daylight! This is because when it first appears on the tape, it looks like it's taking off from ground level.

The video was shot with a home camcorder from the window of a hotel room where Andy and his father were staying. They were very excited, and full of anticipation, that day. They were going to meet real live Astronauts, including two who walked upon the Moon! (Andy and the sixth man to set foot upon the face of the Moon, Astronaut Ed Mitchell, are seen together at left) Perhaps this is the reason that Andy, who shot the video, didn't notice the shiny high speed object virtually in front of his face. |

(John
Ellis, Andy's Dad, at right) Below
are a series of stills taken from the original tape. I hope they are
of interest to you the reader. Take a close look. I surmised that this
might be a helicopter, but it's shape, even blown up to maximum, is nothing
like a helicopter. Another factor which convinces me that this is no
chopper, is the incredible speed of the object. It starts out at a near
stop, and accellerates to unbelievable velocity in a mere second or two.
An airplane is out of the question. Planes are not allowed to skim so
low over the city, day or night. In addition, this object was seen lifting
vertically from the ground, and planes don't do that. |

A good friend of ours in Scotland once observed something over London in the early 90s which frightened the living daylights out of him. So it's not really so unprecedented to have UFOs over the largest city in the UK then, is it? So, let's have a look at the pictures, and a short video clip, of this incident, shall we?

Please bear in mind that the original tape was recorded in the PAL TV format, then converted to NTSC. Television does not offer very good resolution in any case, but with all this film has gone through only aggravates that problem. Therefore, even at only 200%, we see prevalent scan lines, and pixilation. This is about the best that can be done in the way of enlargement of the image.

He didn't even see the anomalous object until I found it and showed it to him three years later! Next we offer a very short video clip of the event. At the end of the day, it's up to YOU to draw your own conclusions.
