Here are Kathy's own words of description concerning the event itself. These e-mails have been edited for reasons of privacy. In addition, some details are added because Kathy and I spoke about this incident over the phone on 1 July 2006.

Well, here is a doozy for you...what the heck is this???

This was very large, low and close..

Was at the beach house last night...everything felt surreal, even my son picked it up...we went on the beach at 6 pm...taking shots and getting nothing...suddenly this, what ever it is, appeared...My dog, who hates water and the sea, started to walk straight into the sea...if we hadn't gone in and picked him up when he was about 8 ft away, he would have kept on going......Everything was odd last night... When I saw what was on the camera, we went out again, and everything seemed clear and back to normal...

What is going on???

My Dear Kathy,

That photo you took is one of the most detailed and amazing I've EVER seen from anyone!! You've had so many sightings in the past, but never before have you described these "feelings" of oddness associated with the object(s).

Your doggie sounds like he was hypnotised, or maybe under some sort of control. He might have drowned! There certainly seems to have been some kind of strange influence over him, and perhaps even you and your son. Could "someone" have wanted him out of the way for reasons unknown? Dogs are known to be very protective after all... This one is so STRANGE!

More about the photo. Obviously this thing was overwhelmingly bright. And it appears to have been hovering in place, otherwise the image probably would have blurred. I can see beach sand in the foreground, but are those city lights along that line beyond? It that Adelaide?

I am gobsmacked! Never saw anything so close and bright in all my encounters. Mine have always been somewhat distant, but this! Right up close and in your face as it were. Rather frightening actually.

Sunday night.

I felt I had to go down the beach house, which is 35 minutes drive away...When we got there we were standing outside on the grass lawn, which is not very wide (3x4 meters)...then there is a path, then rocks which go down to the marina where the yachts are...

Everything felt weird, I didn't mention this to (my son), didn't need to, after a few minutes he said the same thing. Honest, it was as if we were viewing the whole area from another dimension or place...Everything seemed distorted time wise...Surreal would be an adequate word. Everything was calm and silent.

We then went on the back beach, which is just over the road. Same feeling again...the sea seemed odd looking as if we were viewing everything through a mirror, as if it was not there, so to speak.

Everything was very calm, hardly any sound. As usual, I started taking shots and getting nothing...By this time it was dark.. My 17 year old dog was with me. I have to say now, that my dog never leaves my side, especially as his sight is going. When I am home, he is next to me when I am ironing or on the computer or if I go into the garden...he is always with me.

Now, I mentioned he hates water...when we have been down the beach previously, we have put him into the sea, which would be about 1 inch high...he always runs the other way...his eye sight may be not too good but his sense of water is still 100%.

I was shocked to say the least, when I saw him walking into the water. He didn't stop, just kept on going in a straight line (180° AWAY from where the object appeared moments later - Jeff)...as if he was on remote control. I would hate to think where he would be if we hadn't have gone in and picked him up....maybe on the way to the South Pole...That in itself was most odd.....he seemed mesmerized.

Still taking shots on the way back to the beach house, as we decided to get the dog dried off... Just as we were half way back the sky looked odd, it had a reddish tinge to it...the sun had gone down behind us, so this had nothing to do with the sun or city lights. I took 3 more pictures, then the screen on my camera lit up. I knew I had something but waited till I got back home to review the shots.

We then decided to go out to the beach again to see if there was anything else around...Nothing... But we did notice that all the weirdness had gone, everything seemed its normal self and the air was clear again ...we could hear the sea.

I really felt that this odd feeling had something to do with the manifestation of building energy and that the object was about to make an appearance...That is only my theory though. As once the object made itself visible, everything cleared.

The lights in the distance are lights from other beach houses...You can see the sand then there is an inlet of sea water for the marina, over the small inlet there are other rows of beach houses.

That's about all I can say at the moment..I heard from (a friend), he said it was an extremely close encounter, especially as it involved my dog being "out of the way".

Hi Jeff.

I really don't seek answers to this enigma. I feel that if I keep myself open and don't want to know the answers I may, just may, get a little more of the enigma and still keep my feet on the ground..

I must say that I have never felt so odd with other sightings... The one I had at Laughlin (Nevada - Jeff)....I was lying on the bed, feeling a little bit off actually...I then felt drawn to go outside... I didn't think.."I will go out to see if there is anything about" I was just guided if you will. But no feeling of being in an odd place.

I didn't bother to look at any clocks last night (I asked Kathy about possible missing time - Jeff)...it was if time was irrelevant...as I said, it was if I was viewing the whole situation from another place, even thru' a mirror. Even when we walked down the short path to the beach where the ocean is....we mentioned that the beach felt and looked the same....an odd appearance.
I have never had that previously.

As soon as i viewed the "craft" on the camera, that seemed to defuse the whole scenario and everything was back to normal.

A touch of the paranormal, if you ask me....after all, it is all linked, you can't have one without it being linked to the other. A mansion with many rooms!!!!!

I must admit today I feel totally drained...have no idea why...maybe that is linked also.

I have no fear and intend to be fully aware of what may be ahead.

I did have my video cam with me and took a bit of footage but...nothing... maybe I am intended to take camera shots only..who knows?

Now, we'll have a closer look at what Kathy photographed at the beach that evening.

The pictures below have been reduced in size for the web. Some have been enhanced to bring out detail.

This is the object as seen in the first photo. It is unenhanced, and just as Kathy sent it to me. The first thing which strikes one about it is its brightness. Second is the obvious "structured" shape. The "hook" on top(?) is a curious formation as well.

This thing flashed into existence for just a fraction of a second, and vanished again as if it had never been. Very odd indeed.

Once again, Kathy amazes us. What ever this object is, it definitely has a structured shape. It also has a very bright aspect, and a strangely pink and purplish aura. This is NOT an airplane, advertising blimp, or helicopter. It doesn't match up with anything familiar or man-made. Kathy was facing west at the time, looking across the local marina, with the lights of other beach houses in the distance. There is no question that this might be the Moon, a planet, or star. What it IS remains a mystery.

This writer has known Kathy D. for well over three years as of this date (July 2006). I met her in person in March 2006, and am totally confident that she is not hoaxing these photos.
