Our friend Edd Ward wrote on 10 November 2005 to let us know that there was chem-trail activity over northwestern Indiana. He was kind enough to not only share his photos from the day with us, but to also do some enhancements on the photos he shot from his studio window. Here is what Edd had to say in his own words, and we thank him very much for his generous contribution.

"To Whom It May Concern,

Hello, My name is Edd Ward and I have just recently become aware of the chem-trail phenomenon, and it struck me as being something that I have always noticed but never gave a second thought to. As I sit here writing this letter there are chemtrails lingering in the sky to the east of my house here in Cedar Lake, Indiana (North western part of the State).

There has always been a lot of air traffic in my area because of the close proximity of O'Hare Airport, and the Gary Airport. We are also located in an area that has very frequent fly overs of commercial aircraft going coast to coast (East to West and vise versa). Anyhow I decided to take a few photos for you to publish, or to do what ever you want with. I have a second story studio in my home, with a clear view to the east, where I see these kinds of events take place on a daily basis. It is only after visiting your web site that I have decided to start documenting these chemtrails.

Thank you Mr. Ward. That is a very well thought out report. Now we will have a look at the photos he shot on 10 November 2005. The first is an animated GIF composed of Ed's initial set of frames.

This is the shot taken by Edd from his studio window facing east. One thing which jumps out at me is that commercial jets don't fly in formation side by side. It just isn't done...for air traffic safety reasons. We can also see another apparent trail which is spreading on the wind. This one runs north to south.

Edd generously took the time to work with this shot. Two of the three frames in this animated GIF have been color enhanced to make the trails easier for you to see. Thanks Edd! Good job.

Taken Friday 11 November, approximately 10 AM from Edd's car. This photo gives us a very good example of the MASS problem. How can jets produce enought mass in their exhaust to create this huge pinkish layer all across the Indiana sky?

Note the "Sun Dog" near the upper right corner. These are caused by ice, or other, crystals high in the atmosphere breaking up sunlight into its constituent colors.

When someone wants to argue with you that chem-trails are mere contrails, ask them "Where does all that MASS comes from then?" That's the key point in dismissing the contrail/ice crystal argument. MASS.

Imagine an old car that is burning oil due to bad piston rings. The blue cloud belching from its tailpipe IS nasty, but there isn't that much of it, and the cloud will dissipate rapidly. Can this car, by driving down one road through a small town, create a heavy blanket of smoke over the ENTIRE town? Of course not; there isn't enough MASS in that old car's exhaust. The same principle applies to chem-trails. Jet exhaust, known as a contrail, doesn't contain enough MASS to account for the phenomenon we call chemtrails.

At the end of the day, it's up to YOU to draw your own conclusions.
