Our friend Mark S., of Davis California, has come through again. On Wednesday 13 April, 2005, he took some shots of an ordinary jet contrail for comparison with their more mysterious counterpart, the chemtrail. Mark will now tell us about the pictures to come, in his own words.

"The skies have been very clear lately in the Sac valley. Saturday, Sunday and Monday I didn't see any trails at all! Yesterday (Tues) I saw three about noon time to the north west of the farm at about a 45 degree angle. They were heading SW to NE.

After I got home from work this afternoon I was working out in the yard and saw 'one' coming, so I got my camera out and took a few pictures. It passed directly overhead. It is one of just exhaust dissipating rather quickly instead of lingering for hours like chem trails do."

(Davis is situated about 20 miles (33km) to the west of Sacramento. It is home to one of the more prestigous campuses of the University of California, famous for it's medical school, and advanced research in the agricultural sciences.)

Now we can see the jet, and its contrail. See how a REAL contrail dissipates rapidly, and completely disappearing in a matter of seconds. It IS possible for a contrail to persist for up to 20 minutes, as has been proven by observation. BUT, contrails do NOT hang around for hours, spreading into a layer of crud which covers the entire sky.

I've taken the liberty of blowing this frame up by 200% so that we can see the jet itself better. One can easily see that there are two separate streams of matter coming from each of the engines powering this plane. Now, compare with the photo below...

It's obvious, in this shot, that we are NOT dealing strictly with jet exhaust. Note that the matter streaming back extends the entire span of the plane's wings, NOT just from the 4 engines. We can even see that there is a separate, heavier trail, coming directly from the center of the fuselage, at the very tail end of the plane. This aircraft appears to be a military cargo carrier, possibly a C-17.

When someone wants to argue with you that chem-trails are mere contrails, ask them "Where does all that MASS comes from then?" That's the key point in dismissing the contrail / ice crystal argument. MASS!

Imagine an old car that is burning oil due to bad piston rings. The blue cloud belching from its tailpipe IS nasty, but there isn't that much of it, and the cloud will dissipate rapidly. Can this car, by driving down one road through a small town, create a heavy blanket of smoke over the ENTIRE town? Of course not; there isn't enough MASS in that old car's exhaust. The same principle applies to chem-trails. Jet exhaust, known as a contrail, doesn't contain enough MASS to account for the phenomenon we call chemtrails.

At the end of the day, it's up to YOU to draw your own conclusions.
