Binary Evolution:

A Plausible Theory?

On the left here, is an illustration of a theoretical sauropod, called 'Russell Man', after it's creator, the paleontologist, Professor Dale Russell, who has suggested that dinosaurs would have been well on their way to developing intellectual capabilities, had they not been wiped out.

On the right, is a picture of 'Jarod-1', an alleged alien being which is being held at Area 51, the top secret military base in Nevada.

Now, could it be at all possible that the people who report sightings of 'alien' beings are actually seeing a creature similar to 'Russell Man', due to circumstances as laid out below?

65 million years ago, so the story goes, an asteroid or meteor collided with Earth, which is assumed to be the reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs. Naturally, Earth became virtually barren and inhospitable, no sunlight, etc. A few million years later, reasonably intelligent life started to appear once more and, if the story is to be believed, over a period of time, mankind evolved, to the point where we are now.

"Russel Man"

End of story???

I say that's not strictly true. In fact, I would argue that the most common and strongest instinct of every living creature either known or unknown on this planet is that of survival.

So, consider the scenario of the time. Imagine huge clouds of dust, blocking out the sunlight, possibly toxic, certainly not conducive to life, so what would be the smart, evolutionary move to make? Obviously, to get away from that environment as quickly as possible and the ONLY place you could go, would be underground. Now, larger creatures would find this difficult, if not impossible to do, so they were doomed, hence the skeletons and fossils, which get discovered. However, smaller creatures wouldn't have such a problem. And so, their survival instinct would drive them underground.

Adapt and survive is another true saying. Assuming these creatures went underground, they would then have to adapt to their new environment in order to survive. And so, that was that.

Meanwhile, back on the surface, the dust would settle and gradually the Earth became repopulated and life evolved along the accepted lines until a certain event occurred in 1945. The detonation of the worlds first atomic bomb. This event, I believe, was THE turning point of the UFO enigma.

I feel that whilst evolution was happening on the Earths' surface, a similar process may have been occurring beneath the surface, in effect, 'binary evolution', with both species evolving according to their environment and both completely unaware of the existence of the other, until that first atomic test explosion.

I have postulated that perhaps this detonation acted as a kind of 'wake up' call to this sub-surface race of beings. Certainly, there have been reports of sightings and strange phenomena before then, but many of these I consider to be a hoax or urban myth type of tale; the kind spread and encouraged by Silas J. Newton and people of his ilk. It's also true that strange beings have been part of folklore throughout history, but nothing compares to what occurred after that detonation. I suggest that it's possible that the subterraneans were minding their own business, when suddenly...

KABOOM!

--- and to put it in our terms, if we were sitting quietly at home and suddenly a tremendous bang went up, our reaction would be " What the **** was that??!!", and we'd go to the window, or go outside to investigate. I believe that a similar scenario happened then.

When these UFOs first became prominent, a pattern was established. They were more than likely to be seen over, or near to military bases. I think that that first atomic explosion was the very first time that these creatures became aware of our existence and us, them. It seems to me that firstly, they would investigate the origin of the commotion, then after a period of time, they grew more and more curious about this 'new' surface species and ventured out more, which would be one of the main reasons for the growth in reported sightings. The other reason, of course, is due to the growth and development of global telecommunications and media. I would contend that these 'beings' are just as curious, nervous and confused about us as we are of them. Although I'm not completely convinced about reports of 'Alien Abductions', I do tend to lean towards the idea that they do happen from time to time, not on any grand scale, but enough to make some people worried. I think the reason behind these abductions is down to two main factors:

1: The growing curiosity of these creatures. I haven't heard any reports of people being beaten up, interrogated or otherwise unreasonably harmed by these creatures, although I use the word 'unreasonably' very loosely and I haven't included psychological harm in this statement.

2: The very fact that they've been allowed to get away with it. It's like the saying, 'Give them an inch and they'll take a mile' kind of thing. As their curiosity grows, so does their bravado or daring. For this, I blame all governments, since they should have taken the growing situation seriously, instead of leaving for the most part, ignorant people to deal with this by themselves. At the very least, they should attempt to take observers and abductees claims with a degree of seriousness.

The reason why I came to think that there may be some substance to my argument that some of these things are definitely Earthly creatures and not beings from another place came about from descriptions of these creatures. The common description of 'Greys' is small, hairless, large heads, huge black eyes, thin, etc. To me, this description suggests a creature which is unused to daylight, is nocturnal, and lives underground. With that in mind, it wouldn't require any bodily hair to protect it from the weather. The skin pigmentation would be different due to the lack of sunlight. Also, the skin texture is reported quite frequently as being leather like. The whole thing appears to me to be some race of 'reptilian' or ‘insectoid’ type creatures. I don't mean like Komodo dragons, but similar to 'Russell Man', which was a model based on scientific view - -points. It was very close, but I think these 'greys' could be the real thing.
