AN U.F.O. & THE MIGHTY An-225

DVDs Now Available At Project P.R.O.V.E.!

The Antonov 225 is a one of a kind aircraft. Built in the Ukraine in the 1980s, for the then Soviet Space programme, it is currently the largest plane flying. It hauls monster sized specialty payloads anywhere in the world the customer wishes delivery. The original purpose for building this aircraft was to ferry the Buran Space Shuttle being then developed. Sadly for the Russians, Buran only flew one time, in an un-manned test flight.
Antonov 225 In Flight & Carrying Russian Buran Space Shuttle

I was recently viewing a documentary on this leviathan of the air, when my eye caught a small black object rise from the clouds, flirt with the airplane, and move off a bit when the film cut to a different segment. The object bears an eerie resemblance to a group of of objects flying in formation over Texas just a few days before the first version of this article (May 2003 - The clip posted to the web at that time is no longer available). The clip WAS available at the time on the UFO Theatre website.

Below are a series of animated GIFs of the sequence for your perusal. Please note that toward the end of the clip, the camera man seemed more concerned with the black object than he was with the massive aircraft...

THE OBJECT - FULL VIEW

The mighty An-225 in flight, when a black object rises from the clouds...

This animation is composed of only five frames with blue circles to give you gross idea where to look.

Now we have a bit more detail. For those debunkers who will surely say this is a helium balloon, why does it rise and fall so abruptly?

For those who will say this is some bit of debris reacting to the turbulence caused by the jet itself.

This is the largest flying aircraft in the world. The Antonov in this film is at least a mile (1.6 km) away from the camera. For that object to be close enough to the airplane to be influenced by it, it would HAVE to be the size of an automobile! Think about it.

In addition, please note that the object rises and bounces about BEFORE the arrival of the plane. The frame rate of the GIF above is very near to the original speed of the event in real time.

Please note, once again, that in the latter stages of the clip, the camera man appears much more concerned with the black anomaly than he does with the giant airplane. Why, we can only speculate, but this thing did seem to be quite interested in the huge jet. As the scene from the TV documentary faded, it even looks as though the object began to follow the Antonov. We may never know. Could this object be what old time military flyers, ON ALL SIDES of WWII, have called "Foo Fighters"?

ENHANCEMENTS
Here, and below, we have a trio of 17 frame GIFs in 250% zoom. Follow the progress of the anomaly for yourself, and see that it doesn't behave like a bird, balloon, or fluttering piece of paper.

The same 17 frames with colors reversed. The frame rate of the three enhancements is slowed to about 1/3 of the real time speed of the event.

Lastly, we offer you an embossed version for a 3D effect against a neutral grey background.

After careful consideration of the facts in this case, I must come to the conclusion that this object is an unknown.

At the end of the day, it's up to YOU to draw your own conclusions.
