| A "Saucer" Shaped Object From J.H. of Georgia 29 July 2007 |
Our friend J.H. lives with her husband and children in north-central Georgia, USA. She is a professional livestock breeder, and a good amateur photographer. She has been invited to take part in a photography contest by The National Library of Photography. Due to many strange objects appearing in photos JH took on 26 June, 04 July, and 18 July 2007, she embarked on a month long photographic study. She was determined to be scientific, take pictures every day for 30 consecutive days, keep notes, and have an open mind. She is more concerned with finding out the truth, rather than search for possible U.F.O.s. JH has taken control pictures as well. She photographed a sheet of blank white paper to ascertain if her camera were producing digital artifacts. She took pictures from the inside of her car of insect splats on the windshield (windscreen JC). JH took photos of a spider in its web against the sky for comparison. She has made pictures of birds in flight, and captured airplanes and helicopters for her records. She found that in SOME of her photos, what first seemed to be an anomalous formation of objects was in fact clouds of gnats. In these ways, JH is showing us that her study is truly scientific. JH took hundreds of pictures during her 30 day study, and some of them revealed anomalous objects. On this page we will concentrate on photos 37, 38, and 39 from the seventh day of JH's program. Here is what our friend JH had to say in her own words. (It has been edited for privacy and clarity - JC)
Study Day 7 - 29 July 2007 001jpg - Small cluster of gnats at the bottom of the fence. Below that fence is a quick-set pool. I have a pool cover on it, but it filled up with rain water and I did not drain it untill later today. I said all of that to tell you I suspect that the close knit cluster ... is GNATS.
037jpg has an anomaly lower left - looking south.
039jpg - Observe the anomalie has gone. JH
I can't really say what this thing is, only what it is not. The object is not a bird, insect, balloon, airplane, helicopter, atmospheric phenomenon, or lens flare. It would have been better had the object been caught on video, rather than as digital still frames, but we have to work with what we get. The time-stamp on these photos says 28 July. It is one day off. The pictures were actually taken on Sunday, 29 July 2007. Photo #37 (Frame 1) shot at 16:29:48 EDT (4:29:48 PM). #38 (Frame 2) taken at 16:30:12 EDT (4:30:12 PM). #39 (Frame 3) was added at 16:30:36 EDT (4:30:36 PM). Let's take a look at the original photos, a few enhancements, and an historical photo from 1946 for comparison, to decide for ourselves shall we? The photos JH shared with us were resized, zoomed, and incorporated into animated GIFs by Jeff Challender as appropriate for the web. All photos copyright © 2007 JH of Georgia. |

This animated GIF is comprised of the three frames in question, jpeg #s 37, 38, and 39 from JH's Study Day 7, 29 July 2007. They are unenhanced, and presented just as they were shot. Numbers have been added at the lower right, so that we may keep the order in perspective. The YELLOW circles have been added to show where the object is located. |
| Considering that there is only a 22 second gap between frames 1 and 2, the object was apparently moving at a very high rate of speed. The time between frames 2 and 3 was 24 seconds. This indicates that the object must have increased its speed dramatically in order to disappear so swiftly by the time frame 3 was taken. | |

| Source Unknown The photo above was shared with me by a friend in Scotland back in the year 2000. It was purportedly taken in summer 1946, in the Los Angeles area of California. The rider appears to be a recently discharged army veteran. Note the object in the distance above the horse's mane. |

The enlargement at left shows a close-up of the object seen above the horse's mane in the full photograph above. It is juxtaposed with 2000% blowups of the object in JH's photo #38 in natural color as well as embossed. The object in the 1946 picture does share some shape characteristics with the object which JH photographed on 29 July 2007. |
| As you can see, this object, in the second frame where it appeared, bore no resemblance to insects, birds, balloons, lens flares, or atmospheric phenomenon. The fact that there were only 22 seconds between frames containing images of it, and 24 seconds to the third frame when it was gone, strongly suggest speeds which helicopters and airplanes are not capable of, let alone silently. So we are left with what? The classic "Flying Saucer" shape of the second image, coupled with the other facts of the case, lend credence to the theory that this object is an unknown. |
